eversign rebranded as Xodo Sign, but the product people still search for as "eversign" is the same signing workspace. If you're moving off a free or light eversign/Xodo plan because of account requirements or per-user pricing, this is the manual export path — then Docracy's upload + AI field detection for the next send.

Why there's no "Connect your account" button

eversign / Xodo Sign's API is free only for a tiny number of test envelopes — real production access starts on a paid API plan, which most individual accounts don't carry. We also won't ask for your password to link accounts.

Exporting from eversign (Xodo Sign)

  1. Sign in to eversign or Xodo Sign and open Documents.
  2. Check both the Completed and Drafts (or In Progress) tabs, depending on what you need.
  3. Open the document and choose Download / Download PDF.
  4. Save the file, then repeat for each document — there is no free bulk "download all" for typical individual accounts.

No portable export path for templates — they live in eversign/Xodo's own system. The underlying source document usually downloads as a normal PDF; field placement does not.

What transfers (and what doesn't)

  • Completed document PDFs with signatures flattened into the file.
  • Draft/source PDFs you can re-upload and re-field in Docracy.
  • Does not transfer: eversign/Xodo templates, signer order automation, or in-app audit metadata as a live Docracy trail.

Tips for eversign (Xodo Sign)

  • If you mainly used OnlineSignature.com, you're already in the Xodo Sign / eversign world — export from that signing account, then continue here or see the OnlineSignature import guide.
  • Reusable NDAs: download the cleanest unsigned source PDF if you have it, not only the last signed copy.
  • After upload in Docracy, run AI Auto-Detect once and save as a template on paid if you'll send it often.

Once you have the PDF

Upload it to Docracy the same way you'd upload any file. Our AI field detection scans the page and suggests where signature, date, and text fields probably go — usually faster than placing them by hand, especially on a form you already know well.

Just sending it once?

Free, no account needed. Upload the PDF, review the auto-detected fields, add signers, and send.

Reusing it as a template?

Save it as a Docracy template so you (or your team) can reuse the same field layout every time — a paid-plan feature ($10/mo flat, unlimited templates and signers).

Where your documents end up

Docracy isn't a long-term archive by design — completed documents and their audit trail are encrypted and automatically deleted after a short retention window (9 days by default), the same as everything else on the platform. If you're migrating documents over, you'll want them to land somewhere permanent, not just disappear again.

A paid account ($10/mo) can connect Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, or Google Drive — once linked, every completed document auto-uploads there the moment everyone's signed, so it lives in your own storage going forward. Zapier and webhooks cover any other destination (a CRM, a shared drive, an internal tool) if none of those four fit.
