Bring your Contractbook documents to Docracy

No account-linking, no handing over your Contractbook password. Export the PDFs you need to keep signing outside a full CLM suite.

Upload a document now

Contractbook is a contract lifecycle platform (workspaces, repository, automations). If your actual job is getting one agreement signed without living in CLM, export the PDF and continue in Docracy — free for up to two signers, no account required for short chains.

Why there's no "Connect your account" button

Contractbook is built around its own workspace and repository model, not a free public bulk-export API for individual "download everything to another e-sign tool" migrations. We won't ask for your Contractbook password to connect accounts. Use the product's normal document download / PDF export for each contract you still need.

Exporting from Contractbook

  1. Sign in to Contractbook and open the contract or document you want to keep.
  2. Use Download / Export PDF (wording varies by workspace view) to save a PDF copy.
  3. If the contract is still a draft with an attached source file, download that source as well when available.
  4. Repeat for each contract you plan to re-send or archive outside Contractbook.

CLM metadata, clause libraries, and Contractbook automations do not travel with a PDF. You get the document file; you rebuild signing fields in Docracy.

What transfers (and what doesn't)

  • PDF exports of contracts you download.
  • Any source files Contractbook lets you download alongside the contract.
  • Does not transfer: Contractbook repository structure, clause library, approval automations, or workspace permissions.

Tips for Contractbook

  • Honest split: keep Contractbook if you need full CLM; use Docracy when the remaining job is signature collection.
  • WhatsApp signing and no-account signers are the usual reason teams move a signing step to Docracy.
  • After upload, save high-frequency contracts as Docracy templates on paid ($10/mo flat).

Once you have the PDF

Upload it to Docracy the same way you'd upload any file. Our AI field detection scans the page and suggests where signature, date, and text fields probably go — usually faster than placing them by hand, especially on a form you already know well.

Just sending it once?

Free, no account needed. Upload the PDF, review the auto-detected fields, add signers, and send.

Reusing it as a template?

Save it as a Docracy template so you (or your team) can reuse the same field layout every time — a paid-plan feature ($10/mo flat, unlimited templates and signers).

Where your documents end up

Docracy isn't a long-term archive by design — completed documents and their audit trail are encrypted and automatically deleted after a short retention window (9 days by default), the same as everything else on the platform. If you're migrating documents over, you'll want them to land somewhere permanent, not just disappear again.

A paid account ($10/mo) can connect Dropbox, OneDrive, Box, or Google Drive — once linked, every completed document auto-uploads there the moment everyone's signed, so it lives in your own storage going forward. Zapier and webhooks cover any other destination (a CRM, a shared drive, an internal tool) if none of those four fit.
