Free tier

Free Electronic Signature — No Account, No Card

Not a free trial. Not a watermarked demo. A genuinely free way to send and sign a document, indefinitely, for chains of up to 2 signers.

What's actually included, free

  • No account, no password, no credit card — upload a document and send it
  • Up to 2 signers per document, unlimited documents
  • A timestamped audit trail and a signed PDF for every party
  • A certificate of completion summarizing who signed, when, and how

When you'd actually need to upgrade

The free tier covers most one-off agreements. You'd need the $10/month flat Paid plan if you need:

  • More than 2 signers on a single document
  • Reusable templates, a team dashboard, or bulk sending
  • AI tools (contract explainer, risk highlighter, auto-detect) or the MCP connector

What's the catch?

None that costs you anything: we don't sell your data or run advertising trackers, and there's no hidden per-signature fee. The free tier is funded by people who upgrade for team features — anonymous documents are deleted after a short retention window (9 days by default) rather than kept indefinitely, which keeps the free flow genuinely free to run at scale.

Frequently asked questions

Is this free forever, or a trial period?

Forever, for chains of up to 2 signers — no trial countdown, no credit card required to start.

Do my signers need an account too?

No — nobody needs an account to sign. They open the link from their email and sign directly.

Is a free electronic signature legally valid?

Yes, generally — under the U.S. ESIGN Act, UETA, and the EU's eIDAS regulation, what matters is consent, intent, and a retainable record, all of which the free tier provides. It's not tied to whether you paid for the tool.

What happens to my document after everyone signs?

Everyone gets the signed PDF and a certificate of completion by email. The anonymous copy on Docracy's servers is deleted after a short retention window (9 days by default).
